Cookies are small text files that a website stores in the visitor’s browser to remember information between pages or between visits. This page explains which cookies this site uses and how you can manage them. For everything else about data processing, see the Privacy Policy.
Technical cookies
These make the site work and remember your choices. They do not require consent and cannot be switched off from the banner.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
language | Remembers the language you are reading the site in (Italian or English). | 1 year |
cmplz_* | Remember your cookie choices, so the banner does not reappear on every page. | 1 year |
ms_novita_closed | Not a cookie but data saved in your browser (localStorage): it remembers when you closed the news window, so it does not reappear for an hour. | 1 hour |
wordpress_*, wp-settings-* | Only for people who log in to the site’s admin area: keep them signed in and store their preferences. | Session – 1 year |
Analytics cookies: Google Analytics
To know how many people visit the site and which pages they read, the site uses Google Analytics, a service of Google Ireland Ltd, loaded through Google Tag Manager. Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies, which last 2 years.
These cookies are set only if you accept statistics. Until you do, Google stores nothing in your browser.
Third-party cookies: YouTube
The Media page contains videos hosted on YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Ltd. When a video loads, YouTube may set its own cookies (for example YSC, VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, PREF) to measure views and remember your preferences.
Videos load only if you accept third-party cookies. Until then, you see a placeholder where you can give consent. To learn how Google uses this data, read Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses cookies.
The site does not use profiling or advertising cookies. The links to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn are plain links and set no cookies unless you open them.
Managing your consent
On your first visit a banner asks whether to accept or reject analytics and third-party cookies; closing it with the X rejects them. You can change your mind at any time from Manage cookies, a link also found at the bottom of every page.
You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. If you block technical cookies, some features of the site may not work.
